In Loving Memory Of

Terry Bell

1948 - 2025

Gone for his final sail..

Terry Bell passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, leaving behind a life well lived and deeply cherished by all who knew him.

Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Terry grew up in nearby Milltown, where he developed a lifelong love of family and friendship. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Veronica Bell, and his sister-in-law, Kim.

Terry is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (Hibbard) Bell; his daughters, Naomi (Brad) Murray and Anita (Dan Piekarz) Bell; and his adored grandchildren, Brennen, Logan, and Gemma, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Allan, Suzanne (Eric) Little, and Carl (Suzie), along with his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Terry dedicated 39 years of service to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, with postings in Windsor and Point Pelee National Park, Toronto, Orillia, and Barrie. His career was marked by commitment and integrity.

Beyond his work, Terry loved long conversations with his siblings & friends, sailing on Georgian Bay with friends, and spending quiet evenings on the deck with a glass of wine, watching the bay he so dearly loved. A passionate sailor, he owned and meticulously maintained eight sailboats over the years. He always looked forward to his annual trips home to St. Stephen to reconnect with family and friends.

Terry found great joy in watching his grandsons play hockey, hugs from his granddaughter, planning and taking family trips, and following the sport of curling. He had a fondness for old western movies, chocolate, a good burger, and a good, cheap breakfast.

Terry will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of the water, and his devotion to family and friends.

In keeping with Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place with no service or visitation. The family asks that you think of Terry when you are looking at the water, and to hug your loved ones a little closer in his memory.
