Peter J. Hughes Sr.
1946 - 2024
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Peter J. Hughes at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, N.B. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1946, he was a son of the late Cyril and Marjorie (Quartley) Hughes. Peter lived and worked the majority of his life in the St. Stephen area.
He is survived by his sister, Margo Moore and his brother, Burton Hughes, grandsons, Shawn and Christopher Hughes, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Peter J. Hughes Jr., brothers; Brian, Cyril, Richard and David Hughes and sisters; Beverley Laubman, Janet Kerr and Marilyn Lawrence.
A private family interment will take place in St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB.
