She pursued her passion for nursing with excellence, proudly serving as valedictorian of her nursing class and building a distinguished career that spanned several decades. She worked in operating rooms, pediatrics, medicine, and extended care, advancing to the roles of head nurse and manager. Colleagues and patients alike remembered her as a deeply caring mentor who always went above and beyond to support others.
With her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and selfless spirit, Margaret devoted herself fully to her family and profession, never complaining and always putting loved ones first. She was the heart of every family gathering, making holidays and special moments truly memorable through her thoughtfulness and warmth.
In her personal life, Margaret was a devoted mother and grandmother and a dedicated church member at Kirk McColl United Church. In her personal time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending Shriners events with her husband Dana, camping, knitting, ceramics, puzzles, and curling.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Don; her first husband Andrew Matheson, who tragically passed away and her husband of 46 years Dana Brooker; her grandsons, Corey Brooker and Michael Brooker.
