Lena “Lee” C. Miller

1924 - 2025

The family of Lena "Lee" C. Miller are saddened to announce the passing of their mother at Lincourt Manor, St Stephen, NB on September 22, 2025.

She was born in Hebron, Yarmouth County, NS in 1924 to the late Fred and Mary Annis.

Mum graduated from Acadia University in 1946 with the Governor-General’s medal, awarded for outstanding academic excellence. She moved to St Andrews, NB to work at the Biological Station for a time.

Mom met and married Dad in 1948. While raising their family, she taught high school for 25 years, retiring in 1984. Upon retirement, she focused on church, her family and volunteering. In 2006, she moved to St Stephen, NB, where she volunteered for the Charlotte County Animal Shelter, (CCSPCA) and the Seafarers’ Mission.

She is survived by her children; Laraine (Wayne), Curt (Linda) and Marilyn (Ken), brothers; Cal and Dean, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great children, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George "Sandy" in 2003, a grandson and great-grandson.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Lincourt Manor for their compassionate care of our mom.

In keeping with Mum’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation at this time.

A graveside service will be held in the summer of 2026.
