In Loving Memory Of

C. Maxine Zwicker

1941 - 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of C. Maxine Zwicker at the Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB.

Maxine was born in Bridgewater, NS in 1941. She was the daughter of the late Merrill and Kathleen Zwicker.

Maxine was an employee of Zellers for 32 years, where she worked as an office clerk and over that time she made many wonderful friendships at the store.

Maxine moved to St. Stephen, NB in 2017 to be closer to her family, but she missed her beloved Nova Scotia and the friends she left behind.

Maxine was her son’s biggest fan as she loved to travel the Maritimes to watch him play soccer and wrestle over the years. Later, she was well known as a huge supporter of the SSHS soccer and wrestling programs that her son coached.

Zwick’s Mom usually brought the team good luck and the athletes loved to see her in the stands. In recent years, Maxine took great pleasure watching her grandson compete in soccer and speed skating.

Maxine always loved a good road trip in her Toyota with friends or on her own. She would always return with great memories, souvenirs, stories to tell about the new wine she discovered and the wonderful meals she had.

Maxine spent the last year and a half at Wauklehegan Manor where she became a beloved resident. She brought many smiles to the staff, with her sharp wit and sense of humor.

Maxine is survived by her son Patrick Zwicker, his partner Sara Thompson and grandson Liam Zwicker. Maxine is also survived by her chosen extended family: Emily and Dave Somers, Kim Parmiter, Darin and Allicyn Cleaves along with their families.

Family will receive friends at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street St Stephen, NB on Thursday September 18, 2025, from 6 – 8 pm.

Donations in Maxine’s memory can be made to Wauklehegan Manor Solarium Fund or a charity of one’s choice. Condolences can be sent to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca

The family would like to thank Wauklehegan Manor for the highest level of care and love that Maxine received there.
