Anne M. McConkey

1952 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of Anne M. (MacLeod) McConkey, of Tower Hill, New Brunswick on August 22, 2025, at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St Andrews, New Brunswick.

Anne was born in St Stephen, NB, the daughter of the late Arnold and Margaret MacLeod of Tower Hill.

Anne grew up on the family farm in Tower Hill, NB.  She met Donnie in high school and together they went to Teachers College, married and taught at the St Stephen Elementary School for their whole careers.

Those who knew Anne, remember her infectious laugh and beautiful smile and her ability to ask you to do something in a way that you just did what was asked, no question.

To say that Anne was devoted to her family is an understatement.  She made sure they had everything they needed for a productive happy day.

She was a former member of Knox United Church in Tower Hill, where she was community minded and helped organize many suppers and activities at the Tower Hill Hall.  Anne was a faithful past member of Enterprise Women’s Institute, Eastern Star and St Stephen Garden Club.

Anne is survived by her loving husband, Donnie, three sons; David (Sarah), Paul (Naomi) and Michael (Audrie-Jo), grandchildren; Theo, Sam, Reid, Kayla and Mia, siblings; Carol Sutherland (Ron), George MacLeod (MaryAnne), Robert MacLeod (Alana), brothers-in-law; Vernon Lister (Sue) and Dana McConkey (Gail), aunts; Sue MacLeod and Kathryn McNeill, special friends; Cathy and Dan O’Neill, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister; Patsy Lister, in-laws; Sam and Barb McConkey.

Those who love Anne, we would like to thank all the staff at the Passamaquoddy Lodge for their care and attention paid to Anne during her fifteen months stay there.

Funeral services will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main Street St Stephen, NB on Friday September 5, 2025, at 2 pm.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 PM until service time.
