John M. Root passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B. on Friday, December 27, 2024.
Survived by his wife Judy, mother, Shirley, brother, Mike, children Jennifer, Amanda and John and a proud grandfather of grandson Jayce.
John was a man who loved unconditionally and had a very generous heart. He was a dedicated family man and was very much involved within the motorcycle community.
He viewed everyone as family, he would give the shirt off his back, he was a chef and a baker, loved to experiment with different foods and if you left after a big feed hungry then that was on you, but he made sure no one went hungry. He was the first person anyone would call if they needed help or just wanted company.
He was an inspiration and a role model with anyone he became friends with, he was full of knowledge, sometimes with a lot of useless facts that he would share. He was a longtime mechanic with cars, trucks, big equipment and his passion and joy was Harley Davidson motorcycles.
There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix and would teach his life skills onto anyone that wanted it.
He was one of a kind and we were very lucky to have known him, he will always be in our memories and our hearts, and he will continue to watch over all of us.
