It is with great sadness the family of Edna L. Woodside announce her passing peacefully in her sleep at her home in Moores Mills, NB on Thursday December 12, 2024, surrounded by love.

A patient, kind, faithful and dedicated mother of ten children. She spent most of her life in the role of homemaker, nurse, counselor, teacher, referee, handyman, financial manager and so much more for her busy household. Using her common sense and adept ability to make do what she had on hand, she could make a dollar stretch.

Mom was a very talented knitter and quilter. Her quiet hobbies produced many beautiful sweater sets and quilts that have warmed many near and far. In her own quiet way, she touched the lives of many.

As an avid reader with her own creative nature, Mom passed her love of books, learning and creativity to all her children.

She was a woman of unwavering faith who prayed daily for her family. She believed that all people were created equal; "we should treat others the way we would want to be treated". She lived her life by the greatest commandment: To love one another.

Edna is survived by her children; Katherine Carter (Arthur), Sandra Boles (Rick), Debbie Barter (Jim), Michael Woodside (Brad), Brenda Greenier, Bonny Cameron (Scott), Lori Haggerty (Mike), Corey Woodside, daughter-in-law; Marlene Woodside, 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister; Melva Merrill, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; Horace, son; Leonard, daughter; Patricia, sons-in-law; Stan Epperson and Donnie Greenier and grandson Deven Woodside.

Edna will be missed greatly by family as well as her extended family.

A graveside service will be held at the Moores Mills Cemetery, Moores Mills, NB, in the spring 2025.
