Garry Burns

It is with great sadness that the family of Garry "Skimmer" Burns announce his passing at Lincourt Manor, St.Stephen, N.B., on Wednesday November 6, 2024 with his family by his side.

Born in St. Stephen, N.B., Garry was the son of the late Edgar "Dippy" and Mary Burns.

Garry worked for NB Power for over 28 years and made lifelong friendships.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, washer toss, bowling, and playing cribbage.

Garry is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marie A. Burns of St. Stephen, N.B., sons; Randy Burns (Sheri) of St. Stephen, N.B. and Burton Burns (Delta) of Saint John, N.B., granddaughter; Danielle Hawkins (Brette) of Norton, N.B., grandsons; Dustin Hawkins (Tyson) of Zenon Park, S.K. and Nathan Lord of St. Stephen, N.B., brother; Tracy Burns (Joyce) of Fredericton, N.B., several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Harold Burns and sister Jeannie Williams.

A service will take place at a later date.
