With heavy hearts, the family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Marilyn M (Young) Eales at the Wauklehegan Manor in McAdam, NB on Saturday May 18, 2024.

Marilyn was the daughter of the late Bill and Dorothy (Maxwell) Young.

Marilyn lived in McAdam, NB all her life.  She enjoyed life to the fullest and had many friends who will miss her; those who played cards to a "leggy friend" on Halloween.

She had many jobs in her life, but she loved being a School Bus Driver the most.  The many faces that passed through the bus doors over twenty years were some of the fondest memories and her students loved her as much as she loved them.

She will be so very missed by her children, especially by her treasured granddaughters, Jessica and Aly, who looked forward to their daily facetime videos or in person visits.  They will miss their special "terms of endearment", or her humor, her advice and most of all the love she had for them.

Marilyn gave the gift of laughter to so many.  The memories and stories will live on for many generations to come.

She is survived by her children, Jean, Joanne and Bill (Connie), her beloved granddaughters, Jessica (Mason), Vivian, Alyson (Aidan) Eales, and the light of her life, great-granddaughter, Isla Mae Vivian, her sister, Nancy (Murray) Donahue, brother, Billy (Brenda) Young, sister-in-law, Claudia Young, several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn also leaves behind a special friend, partner in crime and sister at heart, Mary Lou Blair.  She loved every day and adventure you spent together especially the special occasions where you both went all out in full costume to celebrate.  The shopping trips, purchases made to antagonize her girls and having to find room to put everything.  The stories and laughter will be talked about for many years to come.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also predeceased by her husband, Joseph Eales, brothers Gerald and Frank Young, sisters-in-law, Verna (Jack) Storr, Avis (Charles) Owens, Audrey (Joseph) Lindsay, Joyce (Ronald) Howland, Mary Eales, Betty (Perley) Russell, brothers-in-law, George (Katrine) Eales, Pat (Ruth) Eales and Robert (Connie) Eales.

Rest Easy Mom, Gram, GiGi.  We will always love you and miss you beyond measure!

The family would like to thank the staff at Wauklehegan Manor for the great care and compassion.

At Marilyn’s request, a graveside service will be held at the Rockland Cemetery McAdam, NB on August 16th, 2024 at 11 am.

Donations in Marilyn’s memory, family has requested the Wauklehegan Manor Solarium Fund or a charity of your choice.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at
