With gratitude for a lifetime of memories, the family of
Barbara Brown of St Stephen, NB, announce her passing on May 5, 2024,
at the Charlotte County Hospital.
Barbara was born in St Stephen, NB to the late Bernard and
Eileen (Higgins) Beaumaster. They had ten children and
Barbara was the only girl. Raised in Flume Ridge, NB, she
graduated from Lawrence Station Regional School in 1967 then attended
St Thomas University in Fredericton, NB.
Barbara enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife, mother and
grandmother. Her home was the center of many gatherings and
celebrations enjoyed by family and friends. She was an
active member of Holy Rosary Parish and CWL (now St Croix Parish and
CWL) and a member of the St Stephen – Milltown Lionettes for
over 50 years.
In 1989, Barbara went to work for the Provincial Department
of Tourism, where she managed the Provincial Visitor Center for 11
years and she met people from all over the world. She
retired in 2003 to enjoy her family, friends and wonderful
memories.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 55 years,
Bob. They shared a wonderful life together. She
will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kevin Brown and Megan
Brown, as well as her precious grandchildren Jonathan Bertin (Tamryn),
Brandon Bertin (Cassidy) and Miranda Bertin, two special great
grandchildren, Owen and Ayla Bertin, six brothers, Dr Eugene, Donald
(Ann), Wayne (Darlene), Dale (Kelly), Mark (Marcia) and Father John,
sister-in-law, Joan Beaumaster, many special nieces, nephews, cousins,
her Godchildren, Blaine (Anne) Beaumaster, Robert Beaumaster, Tina
Beaumaster and Melanie (Jason) Cameron.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her
brothers, Brian, Edmund and Raymond.
Mass Christian Burial will be celebrated at St
Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, 407 Milltown Blvd, St
Stephen, NB on Saturday May 11th at 11 am.. The
family will receive friends at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral
Home, 23 Main Street St Stephen, NB on Friday May
10th, 2024 2 – 4 pm and 6 –
8 pm.
Interment at St Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery,
Rollingdam, NB
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory
can be made to St Patrick’s Cemetery, Rollingdam or a
charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be sent to the
