It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winston Enman, from this life to his heavenly life on Sunday January 28, 2024 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB.
Winston was born in Portage, PEI to the late George and Florence (Shaw) Enman.
Winston grew up in PEI during his young childhood before his
family moved to
McAdam N.B. He married the love of his life Lillian on Feb 28,1981. During his young adult life, he worked as a laborer in construction and a heavy equipment operator. Before finding his true passion, which was working on vehicles- fixing them, body work and paint jobs were his favorites. He could tell you anything about any model of vehicle. Everything he did had to be perfect. From the cars he worked on, to cleaning his yard and getting himself ready to leave the house.
He loved going to church and loved his church family at Voice of Pentecost. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to play games, eating snacks and sitting down to chat. When he was able, he used to build skating rinks in his yard and huge snowbanks for his grandkids and all the neighborhood children to enjoy. Going away on vacation with his family, especially to PEI, was always his favorite. The last years of his life were spent at Wauklehegan Manor where he made his mark and will not soon be forgotten.
Winston will be greatly missed by those he has left behind. He is survived by his stepdaughters Debbie (Steven) Thompson and Wendy Hawthorne, his pride and joy his grandchildren Daniel, April (Bobby), Mitzie (Tim), Tyler and Tony (Thalia), great grandchildren Alex, Brett and Rebecca, brother-in-law Herald (Helen) Dickenson, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Winston was also predeceased by his wife Lillian Enman, brothers Roy, Lawrence and Ronnie, sisters Rettie (Roy), Jean (Ferbie) and Ruby, grandson Darrell Thompson.
As per Winston’s request there will be no funeral service. The family will have a private gathering at a later date. Interment will be at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB in the spring.
