The family of Michael G. Reynolds, son of the late Jean Reynolds, sadly announce his unexpected passing at his residence in Saint John, NB.

Michael was born in 1966 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Saint John, N.B. As a youth, Michael was an active member of local baseball teams as a pitcher. One of his fondest memories was annual baseball games with his cousins during yearly family reunions. After graduating from St. Malachy’s High School, he went on to study at UNB Saint John and earned his business degree. Shortly afterwards he began his employment at Centennial Pontiac Buick. Michael’s personality of being soft spoken, friendly and trusting was a key factor for him to become their top performing salesperson for numerous months.

Michael was an avid sports fan especially loving the game of hockey and watching Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby play. He would call his aunt Marion whenever Sidney was playing so she would not miss a game. Musically he enjoyed listening to Rod Stewart and Elvis Presley. Michael loved to walk in McAllister Mall for daily exercise and enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow mall walkers. In his later years, Michael took on the role of being a loving and devoted caretaker to his mother, Jean.

Michael leaves to mourn his maternal aunt Marion (Reynolds) Fisher, uncles William Reynolds, Richard (Dick) Maxwell, and Dr Eric McCartney, and several cousins.

Michael was predeceased by his mother Jean Reynolds, his grandparents Melbourne and Bessie Reynolds, aunts Marjorie Reynolds, Pauline (Reynolds) Boyd, Christine (Reynolds) McCartney, Ruth (Reynolds) Maxwell and Hazel Marie (Veno) Reynolds, uncles Hazen Boyd and Colin Fisher, and cousins Diane (Fisher) Godfrey and Phillip Reynolds.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be held in the spring of 2024. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca

Michael will be deeply missed by his aunt, uncles, cousins and all who knew him.
