It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
Carl L Cleghorn on Friday November 17, 2023 at his home in Flume
Ridge, New Brunswick.
Born in Lawrence Station, New Brunswick, to the late Neal and
Eva (Garnett) Cleghorn.
Carl was the youngest of six in his family. He had
many jobs and hobbies over the years. He was a woodsman,
worked for the Irving Oil Bunker Plant, auto body work, butcher, loved
farming his land and caring for his Christmas trees. Carl
had driven school bus for 27 years with District 10 until his
retirement. He was a "jack of all
trades". He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, spending
time at the camp with family and friends. Carl enjoyed
playing cards and his new favorite nightly game was playing
Aggravation.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Constance
(Whittier), daughter, Carla (Johnny Anderson), sons, Kevin (Kathy),
Stacey and Glendon (Kathleen), grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Jason,
Jesse, Denver, Mackenzie, and Mia, great grandchildren, Hayden, Elana
and Storme, step great grandchildren, Jarrett and Rachel,
sisters-in-law Marina Cleghorn and Sandra Carson, brothers-in-law,
Ronzo Whittier and Sam Whittier, his beloved best friend
"Jake" the dog, several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In addition to his parents, Carl was deceased by his
siblings, Roland, Wallace, Neil, Earl and Gerald
Cleghorn.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23
Main Street St Stephen, NB from where the funeral service
will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 2 pm. Family
will receive friends at 12:00 pm until service time.
Interment will be at the Brockway Union Cemetery, Brockway,
New Brunswick.
