It is with heavy hearts that we the family of William
"Bill" R Belyea announce his passing on Sunday October 29,
2023.
Born in St Stephen, New Brunswick son of the late Alonzo
"Jack" and Alma Belyea.
Bill spent his time working as a mechanic and many, many
hours volunteering in his community. Bill was one of the
founding members of the Western Charlotte Volunteer Fire
Department with over 45 years of service. He loved to help
anyone in need with any chore they may have. Spending time
with his family and many friends was one of his greatest
joys.
Bill is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 56 years,
Edith (Hastey), sons, Bill (Lucie), Tim (Teresa), and Greg (Shari),
nine grandchildren, Danika Litke (Chris), Emilee Jentink (Josh), Jaime
Goudreau Riopel and Leland Lusk, Tyler Belyea (Emily), Brandon Belyea
(Jena), Kara Robertson (Cody), Cole Belyea, Ella Belyea, six very
special great grandchildren, Mackenzee, Dante, Gunner, Beckett, Elsie
and Waylon. He is also survived by sisters, Barbara Belyea
of Washington State and Betty O’Brien of Calais, Maine, his
very special mother-in-law, Lela Hastey, many brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his very
special and youngest son, Brian, brother, Royce McMorran and his
father-in-law David Hastey.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home, 23 Main
Street St. Stephen, New Brunswick from where the funeral
service will be held on Saturday, November 4th,
2023 at 11:00 am. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral
home on Friday November 3rd, from 2 -4 and 6
– 8 pm.
Interment at Scotch Ridge Cemetery, Scotch Ridge, New
Brunswick.
