With heavy hearts the family of Richard "Rick" Nason, mourn his passing in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his residence, Richard succumbed to his illness, one that despite its existence, he remained being his loving-self throughout.
Born in McAdam, Richard was the son of Shirley (Nason) Guptill and the late Paul E. Leavitt.
Richard grew up in and out of St Stephen. Growing from a smart hard working young boy, into a harder working man. He knew how to bring laughter into any room he entered, making it hard to be anything but happy when he was around. Ever the jokester he would try his hardest, especially on your bad days, to bring even the smallest of smiles to your face. Ever the empathetic soul, he’d help anyone that needed a hand, whether it be a stranger on the highway, a friend in need, or simply needing an ear to listen.
He could often be found tinkering away on anything with a motor, laughing at endless comedy movies- a laugh you couldn’t help but be amused by- or breaking into his seeming bottomless snack pile. He adored being outdoors, whether it be work or play.
Richard loved spending time with family, whether it be watching a movie with his niece, Jessie, playing washers with his mom and her partner John, or just sitting and having a coffee with his sister early in the morning, he would find happiness there. He also found endless happiness with his fiancé, Nicole and her daughter, loving them both with all that he had. Ricky adored animals, especially his girl, Bella, who was ever by his side, and Dakota, the newest addition to his loving little family. Ricky was a man that cared deeply for many things and many more people. He will be missed greatly by countless friends and family.
Richard is survived by his mom, Shirley (John), his son, Bradley (Ashley), fiancé, Nicole Morrow, stepdaughter, Savannah, granddaughter, Alice, sisters, Carla, Melissa, Karen (Johnny) and Anne, brothers, Carl (Tara), Dale (Tiphany), Paul (Stephanie), Wayne, and Terry, his in-laws, Karen Morrow and Edward Morrow, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father, Richard was predeceased by his beloved son, Richard Nason Jr, brother Roger Leavitt, maternal grandparents, Alice and Carroll Nason.
A private family service will be held.
If so desired, donations in memory of Richard may be made to Charlotte County SPCA or charity of one’s choice.

Grief, I say, come in, sit down.
I have tea. There is honey. This
