It is with great sadness the family of Philip Legacy announce
his passing at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on
Wednesday September 20th, 2023.
Born in Jacquet River, New Brunswick to the late Edward and
Ethel (Dempsey) Legacy.
Philip is survived by his son; Kevin, Grandchildren; Chris,
Katlyn, Taylor, Ashton, Zoey and Colby, three
great-grandchildren. Siblings; Carm Deaveau, Martha Ross
(Andy), Gus and Danny Legacy; several nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
In addition to his parents, Philip was predeceased by his
wife; Rita, son; Cory, two brothers, three sisters, three
brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Philip loved to entertain (although he would say otherwise),
playing the guitar and singing at all family gatherings and community
halls around Charlotte County. Phil was gifted with the
unique country music voice that would have people gathering around him
while he sang. He loved to play guitar and sing with his
brother Danny, often saying "okay you sing one now
Danny"
Philip loved old cars and you would often see him riding
around town or attending car shows in his 63 Impala that he was so
proud of.
Philip has been called home to be with our Lord.
Waiting at the gates will be Rita and Cory with open
arms.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.
Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St.
Stephen, N.B. on Wednesday September 27th, 2023
at 11 AM. There will be no visitation held.
Interment at Milltown Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement,
New Brunswick.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made
