Anthony "Tony" J Farmer passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at the age of 69.  He lived graciously and courageously for sixteen months following his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Tony is survived by his wife Beverly, son Matthew, stepson Timothy Moran (Krystal), stepdaughter Tara Hansen (Eric), stepdaughter Kelly Moran (Mike Wilcox), sisters, Julie Farmer, Marlene Leadbeater, Kathy Farmer, Fleurette Farmer and Jane Farmer (Robert Cater), brothers, Ken Martens (Suzanne Vinet) and Alan Walski (Rhoda), grandchildren Kiana Marty (Jeremy Meyer), Nash Hansen, James Moran and Kylie Moran.  He is also survived by Karen Marshall, his first wife and mother of his son Matthew, as well as cherished nieces and nephews.

Tony was predeceased by his mother Emerentienne Walski (nee Mimeault), father, Ben Farmer and brother, John Farmer.

He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by blended and extended family, friends and colleagues.

Tony grew up in a large, blended family and was always looking out for the well being of his siblings.  He was known for his generosity, helping family, friends and colleagues alike.  He had a great love of music which he liked to share at every opportunity.  His love of nature led him to many hunting and fishing adventures.

Tony’s exceptional proficiency with numbers began at a young age when he helped his dad tally logs in the bush.  He spent most of his career with two employers, Peter Kiewit Sons and SNC-Lavalin.  He worked in project administration management/cost control on various major construction and light rail transit projects.  Over the course of his career, Tony was known for mentoring many people, taking them under his wing and fostering their career, growth and success.

Special thanks to the Extra Mural Nurses, Charlotte County Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology teams, Dr. Levesque-Taylor, Dr Wildish and Dr Alugo, who all provided Tony with such kind and compassionate care.

In keeping Tony’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
