Lucille J. Beliveau, wife of the late Errol
Beliveau, passed away at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B.
on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Born in Asbestos, Quebec, daughter of the late William and
Charlotte Howse.
Lucille was a wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmotherto aspire to. She loved children and animals and they
in turn loved her.
Lu was a square and round dance enthusiast, who danced her
way across North America with the love of her life Errol. Their great
romance and marriage almost surpassed seventy years.
They began married life together in Montreal where their
first child was born, but a desire for country life and a larger
family, lured them back to Quebec’s Eastern Townships, where
Lu became a shepherdess with 400 sheep and two family farms. She and
Errol then enjoyed a beautiful retirement in New Brunswick where she
could be surrounded by nature, Errol could hunt and fish and also be
close to family.
She was a distinguished woman, filled with love, energy and
determination.
Her favorite song was Led Zeppelin’s "Stairway
to Heaven".
Lucille is survived by two sons, James (Helen) of Kingston,
ON., R. Jake of St. Stephen, N.B., two daughters, Deb of Tenn., USA.,
Layla (Remi) of Moores Mills, N.B., many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a infant
daughter, Virginia Lucille, granddaughter, Ginnie Lu, and one
sister.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her
life at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main
Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11
AM.
