It is with great sadness that the family of George E. Justason, announce his sudden death at the Georges DuMont Hospital Moncton NB on December 21, 2022, at the age of 59.  He was born in Blacks Harbour on June 18, 1963.  He leaves behind three children, Ashley Gale (Matt) Quispamsis, George Jr., of BC and Nicholas (Ashley) of Moncton.  In addition to his children, he leaves behind 4 grand children, Annabelle, Willow, Hunter, and Shay, Four sisters; Gloria Lawrence (Dale) of Woodstock, Vicky Simpson (Richard) of Waweig, Barb Brown (Carey) of Bocabec, Diana of Waweig, Five brothers; Michael (Linda) of Jemseg, Randy (Karen) of Waweig,Dale (Susan) of Dufferin, Warren (Audrey) of Little Ridge,  Darren (June) of Waweig.  Many nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles.  He was predeceased by his parents George and Ruth (Gaudett) Justason and Nephew Roddy.

George was an avid entertainer, starting in the Drama Club in High School where he acted in many of the school plays.  If you heard his name, the first thing that came to mind was his amazing singing and guitar playing.  He went on to sing in many establishments around Charlotte County including The Lobster House, Elm Lodge Inn, Al’s Red Lantern and at the Marina in Saint John.

He loved to paint and draw, mostly animals and scenery.  Most of his siblings have one or more of his paintings hanging up on their walls.  Even though he struggled for years with health issues, when he had visitors, he would always find something to smile and laugh about.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at the Georges DuMont Hospital in Moncton.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
