Fred Tuddenham passed away peacefully in his home at Oak Bay, N.B. on December 1, 2022. Lovingly remembered by his wife Janet (Newell) Tuddenham of 57 years. Born in 1942, he was the son of the late George and M. Adelaide (St. Thomas) Tuddenham.

Fred is survived by his wife Janet and his three children, daughter, Tanis (Mike) Taylor,  Fredericton, N.B., and two sons, Todd (Shawna) Tuddenham and Troy (Nancy) Tuddenham, both of St. Stephen, N.B.. He will be dearly missed by grandchildren Zachary, Matthew, Cameron and Kristen Taylor, Blake, Ethan and Lucas Tuddenham, and Shelbie, Mackenzie, Emma, Isabelle, Lexi and Henry Tuddenham.

Fred graduated from high school in St. Stephen and went to Teachers College. He was not destined to be a teacher long term. He then went to work at the Mactaquac Dam and lived in Fredericton, NB for ten years. He and his family moved back to St. Stephen, N.B. when he purchased a business and began working for himself.

He was self-employed and owned and operated a blueberry business, Tuddenham Farms, and was a very hard working man. He also enjoyed his Saturday trips to the Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market. He looked forward to meeting up with regular attendees and socializing there. He was a simple soul who instilled a strong work ethic in his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren which brought him great joy.

A warm thank you is extended to all the people who have supported the family over this difficult time. Your kindness and caring have helped in so many ways.

A service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Fred’s  memory may be made  to Parkinson’s Canada, SPCA or a charity of one’s choice.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
