It is with deep sadness that the family of Harry
"Had" A. Tapley announce his passing at Charlotte County
Hospital on Friday, November 18, 2022. Born in L'Etete, N.B.
in 1931, son of the late Harry H and Frances (Tucker)
Tapley.
Had served in the Canadian Army from 1954-1957 in Winnipeg,
MB. When he returned home he owned a gas station in
Milltown, ME, worked in construction and the Christmas tree business
for a number of years. Had then retired as Superintendent of Works for
the Town of St. Stephen after 25 years.
Had is survived by his wife of 72 years, Erma (Merrill)
Tapley, his children; Bonnie (Daniel) Woodside, Marlene (Lenny)
Woodside of Oshawa, ON, Gail (Chris) Hatt, Blaine (Betty) Tapley, Dana
(Vicky) Tapley of Edmonton, AB, Deann (Fabian) Farrell, Lori (Scott)
Caldwell, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren,
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his
brothers; James "Bud" and William
"Bill", sisters; Janice Thornton and Pheobe Horne, grandson,
Deven Woodside, nieces; Kim Bell, Susan Webster, Vicki Lou Tapley and
Joan Bridges, nephews; David Horne and Tracy Tapley.
Funeral service will be held at The S O Mehan & Son
Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB on Thursday,
November 24 , 2022 at 2:00 PM.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 23,
2022 from 6-8 PM
The Royal Canadian Legion Milltown Branch #48 will conduct a
tribute service following the funeral at the funeral
home.
Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St, Stephen,
NB.
