It is with great sadness the family of Deborah F. (McKnight) Berry wish to announce her peaceful passing at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Born in St. Stephen, N.B., daughter of Mary Jean Adams and the late Wayne McKnight.

Debbie grew up in St. Stephen and met her high school sweetheart; the love of her life for 44 years. She had a kind, giving heart and was a hard worker. She worked at the Charlotte County Hospital for 31 years and had been retired for almost 5 years. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great love for books.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband Wesley, Debbie will be deeply missed by her son, Joey (Lisa) Berry, daughter, Courtney (Chris) Phillips and Anneke de Jong; her grandchildren, Javen, Kayley, Peyton, Alexis and Evelyn, She will also be missed by her mother, Mary Jean Adams, stepfather, Arthur Adams, father-in-law, Gordon Berry, siblings, Betty (Blaine) Tapley, Tom McKnight (Nathalie), Joanne (Tom) Babcock, Jackie Dempsey, Judy (John) Quartermain and David McKnight (Dianne), sister-in-law, Joyce (Jeff) Christie; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her father, Wayne, Debbie was predeceased by her stepfather, Vincent Stewart, sister, Carolanne McKnight, and mother-in-law, Merwyn Berry.

A private graveside service for her family and close friends will take place at the Oak Bay Cemetery, Oak Bay, N.B. at a later date.

Debbie’s family would like to thank Dr. Norman Lister and the amazing floor one staff at C.C.H., who provided endless care, compassion and support to her for the past two months, as well as Archdeacon John Matheson for his spiritual guidance.

For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
