Cedric H. McFarlane, 77, passed away unexpectedly on August 1st, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness with his loved ones by his side.

Born in St. Stephen, N.B., he was the son of the late Raymond and Roberta (Hall) McFarlane.

Cedric is survived and dearly missed by the love of his life, Judith (Orr), whom he married 60 years ago in Oak Bay, NB. He is also survived by one sister, Debby McFarlane, and his children Nancy Ferguson (Husband Don), Tom (Jeannine), and Lori Brown (Husband Richard), a chosen son, Raymond McFarlane (Juanita); Grandchildren Amanda, Kristin, Mark, Robert, Darren (Danielle), Jarvis (Dana), and Treigh; great-grandchildren Kaleb, Xavier, Conor, and Callie; and a mentored young friend, Nick Hamilton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers: Bernard, Guilford, and Cecil (his twin); three sisters: Lois Gallant (Jim), Marie Johnson (Paul), and Darlyne Hastey (Bob); daughter-in-law Carol McFarlane.

Cedric was a well-known and respected business owner in Charlotte County for many years. After his early retirement he and Judy travelled extensively throughout the United States and Canada in their motor home. Not one to sit and relax, there was always some "grand scheme" being planned.

Visitation will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, N.B. on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 12-2 pm with a celebration of life service to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the St. Stephen Food Bank or a charity of their choice.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at both the Charlotte County and Saint John Regional Hospitals.
