Mildred "Millie" Elaine Scott (nee Cunningham) of
Little Ridge, NB passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional
Hospital on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the age of 81.
Born in Fredericton, NB, daughter of the late Roy and Eva
(Nichol) Cunningham.
After growing up on the family farm in Mazerolle Settlement,
Millie’s strong work ethic and desire to help people
eventually led her to the nursing profession at the Charlotte County
Hospital until her retirement. She was an active square dancer, a
former member of both the Scoodic Fish and Game Association and Branch
#48 Ladies Auxiliary and until recently, a member of the local Pythian
Sisters.
Millie’s faith kept her strong and she shared her
strength with all who knew her.
Beloved mother of Earle Eastman (Charleen) of Oak Bay,
Deborah Eastman, and Donald Eastman (Becky) both of St. Stephen and
stepmother to Alice "Tiny" Scott (Dave) of Perth-Andover and
Leroy Scott (Harla) of Moores Mills as well as aunt to niece Kim
Marshall (Carson); Millie was blessed with many grandchildren, great
grandchildren and great nieces all of whom will miss her effervescent
smile and loving hugs.
In addition to her parents, Millie was predeceased by her
older brothers, Donald and Merlyn, as well as her two spouses, Ernest
Eastman and Lealand Scott.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23
Main Street, St Stephen, NB from where the funeral service will be
held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be
held at the funeral home on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6-8 PM.
Maple Leaf Temple #30 Pythian Sisters will hold a tribute service
Friday at 5:45 PM.
Masks are
recommended, but not required and we ask that you please be mindful of
others around you while visiting the funeral
home.

& Stroke Foundation, Charlotte County Cancer Society or the
charity of one’s choice.
