It is with tremendous sadness we announce the passing of
Linda Diane McIntyre of McAdam, NB., after a brief battle with cancer
at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB on
Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Born on White Head Island, NB, daughter of the late Laurence
and Juanita Trecartin.
Linda had a passion for coffee, the ocean, the outdoors,
gardening, jigsaw puzzles and picking enough berries to supply all of
White Head. Her most intense love was for her family, especially her
grandchildren, who she kept entertained with bedtime stories of her
childhood adventures.
Linda touched many lives over the span of her 30 plus years
as an R.N. Even after she retired, she continued to dole out advice,
take blood pressures and tend wounds from her home on White
Head.
Linda will be forever loved and missed by her husband,
Lawrence McIntyre, daughter, Jolene Messer (Joel), grandchildren, Tori
(Ben), Tyler (Brittany), and Gabrielle, great granddaughter, Aubree.
She is also survived by her sisters: Marguerite Rideout (Eldon) and
Leah Loof, brothers: Rodney Trecartin (Norah) and William Trecartin
(Candace), brothers and sisters-in-law: Harold McIntyre, Ronnie
McIntyre (Lorraine), Jackie McIntyre (Rose), Edna Cleghorn (Raymond)
and Betty Donahue, as well as many, many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her
first husband, Terrance Golding and her children, Michael, Stacey and
Ryan in a tragic house fire in 1987. She was also predeceased by her
brother, Laurence "Bub" Trecartin, sister, Janice Gildart
and two infant nephews.
Due to COVID 19 regulations, a private family funeral service
will be held, however the family will receive friends at the Rockland
Drive United Baptist Church, McAdam, NB on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from
12- 1:30 PM. We ask that you please respect all COVID protocols if you
plan on attending the visitation at the church.
For those who wish, donations in Linda’s memory may
be made to White Head Cemetery, c/o Dorothy Daggett, 443 White Head
