At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB. on Saturday, August 18, 2018, Lois Rachael (Hastey) Caldwell of Pomeroy Ridge, NB. passed away peacefully after a short illness.

Lois was born in Oak Hill, NB., a daughter of the late Robert and Harriet Sarah Hastey on April 14, 1927. She was the last surviving of their five girls and six boys.

Lois was the loving wife of the late Maurice Caldwell, whom she married in 1943 until his death in 1992. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Lela Hastey and Marjorie Caldwell; her children, Linda Williamson (Bill Ritchie), Dennis Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell, Susan Caldwell and daughter-in-law Gloria Caldwell; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Kim Dinsmore (Kevin), Patti Curran, Scott Caldwell (Lori), Chris Caldwell (Kelly), Jason Caldwell (Robin), Amy Lister (Peter), Dean Williamson (Kharissma), Tony Williamson, Heather Williamson (Johnny), Joseph Caldwell (Kat), Kevin Caldwell, Jesse Caldwell (Emmy), Adam Caldwell- Lewicki; seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many more to whom she was their chosen Nana.

She was pre-deceased by infant son, Darrell Alfred, daughter, Sylvia Lynn and son, Richard Keith.

Lois enjoyed family and friends alike and she was very involved in the Pomeroy Ridge UCW and community events. She loved to take pictures and has documented many events in her long life.
