Berla Kathleen Powers

At Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB, on February 26, 2012, Berla Kathleen Powers at the age of 99 years of St. Stephen, NB. Wife of the late William Powers and daughter of the late Lindsay and Elizabeth (Hannan) Cumberland.

Survived by two sons, Melvin Getchell (Noreen) of St. Stephen, N.B., Wayne Getchell (Elinor) of St. Stephen, N.B.; one sister, Margaret Henry of Barrie, ON (age 102); grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband and parents; four sisters, Mildred, Iva, Doris and Lois; one brother, Vincent.

By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Interment will be held, at a later date, at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB.
