PORELLE - LEO WILFRED was born March 8, 1930 in Saskatoon, SK, raised in Cap Pele, NB, beloved husband of the late Dina Porelle. He passed away at his home January 27, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his family of 14 children: Leon (Lori) St. Stephen, NB; Rose Mackay (Willard) Christie Ridge, NB; Wilfred (Robin) McAdam, NB; Gilles (Shelley) Grand Bay, NB; Russell (Margaret Jane) Hamilton, ON; Ola (Minerva) St. Stephen, NB; Clement (Kelly) St. Stephen, NB; Ella, McAdam, NB; Flora Rushton (Craig) McAdam, NB; Verna Sutherland (Warren) McAdam, NB; Mary Lee Holt (Paul) Harvey, NB; Mona Clune (Neil) Barrie, ON; Neil (Rhonda) Fort MacMurray, AB; Rachel, McAdam, NB; 32 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, two sisters Yvonne Gallant, Courteney, BC, and Diane Sneddon (Don) Digby, NS. He was a woodsman all his life, he loved reading the daily newspaper, playing horseshoes and outpegging his friends at cribbage. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 3 p.m. at St. Clements Catholic Church, Highland Ave., McAdam, NB. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. Interment at Rockland Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
