Alice M. Nason

1948 - 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alice (Bailey) Nason, a vibrant soul whose zest for life and adventurous spirit touched everyone she met.  She departed this world on May 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy and boundless generosity.

Born in St Stephen, NB, to the late Harriet and John Bailey.

Alice was a beacon of light and warmth.  Her door was always open and her heart even more so.  She created a home that was sanctuary for friends, family and a host of cherished animals, especially her beloved cats.  Each of her feline companions found not just a home but a place where they were adored and spoiled.

Though she never had children of her own, Alice dedicated her life to her nieces and nephews.  She was more than an aunt, she was a second mother, a confidante and an unyielding supporter.  Her adventures and stories were a source of inspiration, igniting a sense of wonder and curiosity in everyone she knew.  Whether it was spontaneous road trip or a late-night story session, her zest for life was infectious.

Alice had a remarkable ability to find joy in the simplest moments.  She was an avid traveler, always seeking the next adventure and never shying away from exploring new places and cultures.

She leaves behind a family who adored her.  Alice is survived by her brother, Ross Bailey, nephews, Robert Jr and John Bailey, nieces, Denise Gaines, Amy Bailey and Sarah Shepard.  Her memory will forever be cherished by her nieces, nephews and countless friends whose lives she enriched with her kindness, wisdom and unwavering love.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Bailey.

In honoring Alice, we celebrate a life lived fully, a heart that loved deeply and a spirit that will continue to inspire.  She may no longer be with us in person however her legacy of love and adventure will remain forever in our hearts forever.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be on June 8, 2024 at The S. O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street   St Stephen, NB at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Charlotte County SPCA.  Condolences may me made online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
