It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Doreen M. (Cleghorn) Greenlaw of Waweig, NB at the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday, October 22, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

Doreen was born in Flume Ridge NB. in 1941. She had a love for cooking, especially her homemade bread, baked beans, pickles, pies and many other recipes. She loved working outside in her many flower and vegetable gardens. She was brought up in a musical family and at one time played the accordion, mouth organ and piano.

On most Sundays, Doreen and her good friend Shirley Stewart would attend music festivities at the Bayside Community Hall, but not before she attended church at the New Life Christian Assembly in Old Ridge.

Doreen will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Doreen was predeceased by her loving husband Percy "Buddy" Greenlaw and her parents Kenneth and Margaret (Messer) Cleghorn, as well as one sister, Elaine Cleghorn, five brothers: Wilfred, Burton, Harold, Ralph and Sheldon. Sisters-in-law, Jean, Lorna, Rose, Sally and Trudy.

She is survived by her son Mark (Marlene) Greenlaw, daughter Donna (Bob) Clinch, grandchildren; Katie (Tim) and Dillon Greenlaw,  brothers; Kenny (Louise), Ronnie (Muriel), Darrell and David Cleghorn, brother-in-law, Dale (Mary) Greenlaw,  sisters-in-law,  Melva Armstrong, Mary Faith Cleghorn, Shirley Cleghorn and one uncle, Glen Kinney, many nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend Shirley Stewart.

There will be a graveside service at the Oak Bay Cemetery, Oak Bay NB. on Tuesday, October 27 at 2 pm. Due to Covid regulations, for the health and safety of all in attendance, please respect physical distancing.

For those who wish, a donation to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
