E. Patricia Pomeroy died suddenly of a massive heart attack at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 27, 2020.

Born on August 11, 1947 the daughter of Maude (Gillette) Fader and Edward Fader.

Patricia was predeceased by, her parents Maude (Gillette) and Edward Fader, her son, Ronald James Pomeroy and two brothers Timothy & John. Survived by her daughter Tracy Jane Pomeroy. Her sisters and brothers; Carole Maillet (Jarvis), Edward, Peter, C. Robin Fader (Susie), Rosaaleen, Joanne Craig (Peter), Jeanne Calver (John), Kevin Connors, (Brenda), Ann Cloney (Lewis), several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth, Patricia, Pat, Patsy and mom we’re all names she was called over her lifetime.

She grew up with 12 brothers and sisters in rural New Brunswick during the 40’s and 50’s, As children they loved spending time outdoors and going on adventures. When she was 16 she attended the Lady Dunn Trade School. Where she learned to hone her creative talents and skills. There was absolutely nothing my mom, couldn’t create or make and in any material she could find to work with. She loved colour and the more then better and if it clashed oh well, you would grow to love the combinations too. At trade school she met her husband and my father, who was taking mechanics. Together there was nothing they couldn’t create, fix or do. They soon married and had 2 children, as a young family there were many trips and adventures mostly including: beaches, ice cream, scenic drives and every time included a family picinic.

The trip of a lifetime was to Israel in 1980 during Easter, where a cousin was working and living and knew all the great places to see, foods to eat and even swimming in the dead sea. In the 80’s she took a 2 week cross Canada trip by train and had many stories to share of her adventure.

In her early work career she worked at the Whirlwind Clothing Store as a talented seamstress. The Garcelon Stamp Company, then began her own sewing business creating and designing wedding dress, men’s suits and anything from formal to casual wear. She worked at Lincourt Manor, and enjoyed working with all the residents and staff and retired, with many happy memories.

A few of her favourite things other than her children, included; spareribs, eggs and bacon and pancakes and sausage, and loved having her cake and eating it too. She could often be seen walking around town and especially loved the clothing and home décor section of the Guardian Drug Store. She loved her candy, and Pepsi to drink and when the fair came to town.

She enjoyed sharing stories and telling jokes, whether to make someone else laugh or to be the butt of the joke herself. Her last few years were spent at Little Acres Community Residence where the staff and clients became family and friends.

In Patricia’s memory donations may be made to: Little Acre Community Residence, or the charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
