George M. Purdy of Oak Haven, NB. passed away unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

Born in St. Stephen, NB., son of the late Leslie M. and Blanche M. (Adams) Purdy.

George is survived by his son, Christopher (Chrissy) of Oak Haven, NB., daughter, Lacie Scott (Terry) of McAdam, NB., four grandchildren: Dylan and Breanna Purdy of Oak Haven, NB., Renee Morrow of St. Stephen, NB., and Makayla Scott of McAdam, NB., six sisters: June Purdy, Nancy Erskine (Bill) , Brenda Berriault, Valerie Fairweather (David), Joyce Purdy and Tammy Purdy (Ed), aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his son, Mackie Purdy, sister, Joan Anderson, brothers, Steven, Chester and David, brother-in-law, Joe Berriault and nephew, Danny Wilcox.

A private family funeral service will be held. The family will receive friends at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, NB. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 7-9 PM.

Please keep in mind, that due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be social distancing measures in place, that could lead to wait times or a line to enter the funeral home. We ask for the safety of the public that you adhere to the guidelines and we also ask that you please bring and wear a mask while inside the funeral home.

Please use the carport entrance (Union Street side) to enter on Wednesday evening for the visitation.

Interment at Oak Bay Cemetery, Oak Bay, NB.

Family and friends may also choose to visit with the family on Thursday, June 18 at the residence of Chris and Chrissy Purdy, 276 Oak Haven Road, Oak Haven NB. starting at 3:30 PM.
