It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Brenda Marie
Jane Landry, who died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in her home at the
age of 59.
Brenda was born on October 8, 1960 in St. Stephen to Laurie
and Alfreda (Belliveau) Landry. She spent her childhood, growing up in
Chamcook, NB with her four sisters: Rhona, Lorraine, Donna (her twin)
and Susan.
She graduated from St. Stephen High School and spent
subsequent years living in both St. Andrews and St. Stephen and
working at different shops and local businesses. She had a heart for
buying local and supporting the communities in which she lived and
encouraged others to do the same.
She had the opportunity to live for a few years in Sackville,
Nova Scotia, caring for children as their nanny. She eventually
returned to the area where she was born but took the chance to travel
when she could; making trips to visit her twin in British Columbia and
taking a mission tour to Africa in 2007.
Brenda rediscovered a passion for crocheting in the past few
years, lovingly crafting projects for family and friends and selling
her wares at local markets during the tourist season. She was creative
and talented in many ways, including drawing and writing. She also
enjoyed reading and word puzzles, watching comedies and caring for her
cats. She was well known for her great sense of humour, her warm
engulfing hugs and the kindness and compassion she showed to those
around her. She was sensitive to the needs of others and shared the
love of Jesus through her actions and giving nature.
Brenda was predeceased by her mother and father Alfreda and
Laurie Landry and twin sister Donna Ledward. She was survived by
sisters: Rhona (Paul) Harmon, Lorraine (Donald) MacDonald and Susan
Landry. She had several nieces and nephews: Kim, Chris (Kate), Rita,
Amy (Tim), John Paul (Katie), Jonathan (Kaitlin), Joel (Claire),
Bethany, Jake, Jonathan and Jasmine, as well as many great nieces and
nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Brenda's
life at the St Croix Vineyard Church, 32 Victoria Street, St Stephen,
NB. on Saturday, February 22 at 2 PM.
For those who wish, donations in Brenda's memroy may be made
to the Diabetes Association.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and many close, dear
friends.
