At Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, NB., Audrey Jean Scovil passed away on October 10, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
Audrey was born in Hills Point, NB on May 17, 1931, daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Minnie Hall.
She was a loving wife to husband Alfred (Ted) Scovil. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Barbara Scovil, Fredericton, David (Lisa) Scovil of St. George. Peter (Angela) of Canal and Jody (Derek)Hatt of St. George, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Carol ( Billy) Craig, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Lester and Douglas Hall and daughter Bonnie Elaine Barry.
Audrey was born in Hills Point, NB, grew up in Elmsville, NB and lived in Port Cartier, QC for 34 years where she and Ted raised their family. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Alliance Quebec organization until retiring back to St. Stephen, NB in 1993.
She was a loving mother to her five children, grandmother to Tammy (Paul) Turmel, Christopher (Mandy) Barry, Amanda (Shaun) Hennessey, Matthew (Olivia) Scovil, Kristen (Justin) MacDougall, Felicia and Garrett Hatt, Great-Grandmother to Cody and Jessie, Molly and Freya and Carter and Aide
Audrey loved being surrounded by her family and friends who she cherished with all her heart. They were her pride and joy.
She was an excellent seamstress, wonderful cook and loved to entertain and host dinner parties. She loved to dance and attended all the square dances with Ted, family and friends, especially when The Johnsons were playing. She enjoyed playing cards of any kind and did not like to lose, especially to her husband! She always looked forward to going on shopping trips with her three daughters and road trips with her family to Ontario, Quebec, PEI, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Florida and Maine. Audrey was kind, caring, thoughtful, loving, generous, proud, intelligent and fun loving. She is greatly missed by the many who love her.
Funeral service will be held at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2 PM. There will be no visitation held.
