Vance Donald Fiander
Vance Donald Fiander, husband of Sheila (Bagley) Fiander, passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Saint John, NB. on Wednesday April 18, 2018.
Born in Bocabec, NB., son of the late William L. and Maude G. (Holt) Fiander.
Vance worked as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed flying his plane and the many winters spent in Florida with Sheila. He loved fiddle music and would drive for miles to listen to it. Survived by his wife, one son, Michael (Ann) of St. Stephen, NB., two daughters, Pamela Johnston (Robert) of Moores Mills, NB., Patti Fiander (Mark Smith) of Mayfield, NB., nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother, Leo Fiander of Elderbury, MD., sister, Janet Theriault of Bayside, NB., several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Mark Fiander, three sisters, Mae and Joyce Fiander, Sadie Hanson and four brothers, Wid, Dan, Earle and Cecil Fiander.
Vance's family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the CAM Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital for their care for him over all those months he resided there.
Funeral service will be held at the Union Street Atlantic Baptist Church, St. Stephen, NB. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 3 PM.
Visiting hours will be held at the church on Sunday from 1-3 PM.
Interment at St Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB.
