LORD- It is with great sadness the Lord family announce the passing of Joseph (Joe) Lord at the age of 85, born October 1,1930. Joe passed away March 18, 2016, surrounded by family at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, NB.

Joe was the son of the late Joseph Guy and Carrie (Reiser) Lord of St. Andrews.

Joe was married to the late Dorothy (Dorie) (Johnston) Lord, his loving wife of fifty-four years and had one brother, the late Philip Lord. Joe is survived by his children; Joe Lord (Jennifer) of Kentville, NS, Carolyn Lord-d'Eon (Leo Paul) of Yarmouth, NS, Robert Lord (Kelly) of St. Andrews, NB, John Lord (Tracey) of Ottawa, ON, Sharon MacLean (Garnet) of Truro, NS, Christopher Lord (Beth) of Fredericton, NB, nieces Heather Lord and Natalie Mach, and as well as fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Joe was a bank manager for the Bank of Nova Scotia for 37 years working in four Atlantic Provinces and was involved in many community activities (Boy Scout Leader, Hockey Coach, Curling Club Treasurer, Kiwanis Club, Meals on Wheels), wherever the family lived; Chipman, NB, Windsor, NS, Catalina, NFLD, Hillsborough, NB, North Head, Grand Manan, NB and O'Leary, PEI. Joe had an infectious laugh especially when watching comedies on TV, a joking spirit during family events and always enjoyed good conversation when meeting new people. He was an avid curler, and had a love for golf, enjoyed fishing, and loved to travel throughout the Maritimes. Joe was a friendly and honest man, deeply loved by his family. At the heart of his world was his wife, to whom he was especially devoted and loyal.

Resting at the Wesley United Church, 77 William Street, St. Andrews, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 2 PM with Rev. Jane Doull officiating.

Visiting hours will be held from the church on Monday March 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Interment will be at the St. Andrews Rural Cemetery St. Andrews, NB.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or charity of one's choice.
