MITCHELL - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B, on March 22, 2013, Lloyd George Mitchell of Old Ridge, N.B. Husband of Velma (Jackson) Mitchell and son of the late Alfred and Agnes (Lord) Mitchell.

Survived by his wife, Velma; brother, Morton Mitchell (Audrey) of St. Andrews, N.B.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Mitchell of Stittsville, Ont. and Marguerite (Mitchell) Giddens of Tower Hill, N.B.; several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sister, Esther Hyatt; brothers, Ronald, Kenneth and Lester Mitchell.

Lloyd was a veteran of World War II and served in the R.C.A. service corp. A member of the Sussex Lodge #7 F &AM St. Stephen (63 years), Concordant Bodies of York and Scottish Rites and was awarded the Order of the Purple Cross, Luxor Shriners (45 years), St. Stephen Chapter #8 of O.E.S., and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9 St. Stephen.

Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home, St. Stephen, N.B. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2 PM.

Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9 will conduct a tribute to a veteran on Sunday at 4 PM. Sussex Lodge #7 F & AM service will be held on Sunday at 6:30 PM. St. Stephen Chapter #8 O.E.S. service will follow the Masonic service.

Interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, N.B. For those who wish, remembrances to Shriners Hospital, Kirk McColl United Church or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
